Kew Green, A Winters Sky
1350mm x 450mm
Emulsion Paint
For Sale £750.00
Inspired by Camille Pissarro’s iconic painting of Kew Green painted while staying at the end of the road the Summer of 1892.
To the left is the entrance to Cambridge Cottages, Kew Gardens,
and to the right, St. Anne’s, Kew, where both Thomas Gainsborough and Johann Zoffany are buried.
The avenue of Trees to the left leading to Ferry Lane, Westerley Ware on the banks of the Thames,
and the Houses fronting Kew Green
together with the Stream Museum’s Chimney in the background on the other side of the river,
are all pretty much the same.
Just wanted to capture the scene in my own way!
